Installation Problems
Q: I've installed the AmberAlert toolbar and I don't see it in my browser.
A: Sometimes there are issues with security and you may not have sufficient rights to install this program, or any other program for that matter on your computer.

In this case see the system administrator of your business to give you security rights to install the toolbar. Occasionally the toolbar is not set properly in your browser in this case at the top of your IE browser go to View > Toolbars > then make sure there is a check mark by AmberAlert toolbar.
When installed the bar should show up at the top of your IE browser as shown above.
Note: It's always a good idea to close all browsers then open them again if the toolbar is not present. If this doesn't work, then try rebooting.
To check if the toolbar installed you can do the following:
- In Windows Explorer you should see a directory under C:/Program Files/AmberAlert
- You should see the toolbar in Add/Remove Programs (see below)
Supported Browsers and Operating Systems:
AmberAlert is supported in all versions of the Microsoft IE Browser and the most current versions of Windows.
Advanced Checks
1) If you have confirmed that the software is installed but the bar is not showing up in your IE browser, in your browser go to select Tools > Internet options, then click the Advanced tab and make sure that the Enable third party browser extensions (requires restart) is checked. If not, check this box and restart the computer.
2) Also, if you have confirmed that the software is installed but the bar is not showing up in your IE browser in your browser go to select Tools > Internet options, then click the Programs tab, then click the Manage Add-ons button on the bottom left of that window. The Manage Add-ons window will then pop up. Make sure that the MyBHO Class and the AmberAlert Toolbar are selected (shown in the red box).
